Looking back at the Allertons: an exhibition of historical photographs 1850-1950

March 8 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Launch Event – Looking back at the Allertons: an exhibition of historical photographs 1850-1950.

This new exhibition presents around 100 historical photographs documenting everyday life and activities in the Allertons and surrounding areas over a century of change and constancy.  The fascinating images include views of farming and rural trades, pubs and recreation, church and school, the upheaval of wartime, and a host of family and individual stories.

The exhibition will be launched with a special presentation evening at Ad Astra Cider on Friday 8 March and be displayed the following day, Saturday 9 March, at the Old Schoolroom.  From 29 March until 31 May, the exhibition will move to King John’s Hunting Lodge.
